Rozina’s Journey to Success Story: Rozina, a small farmer from rural Bangladesh, struggled for years to grow enough food for her family. Determined to improve her harvest, she joined a community farmers’ group organized by World Renew’s local partner, SATHI. Through the program, Rozina learned that chemical fertilizers harm the soil and discovered sustainable methods like composting, seed preservation, and organic pesticides. Applying these techniques, she started growing tomatoes on her small plot, investing 2,800 taka (about $35 USD). Her efforts paid off—she earned a profit of 12,300 taka ($154 USD) and provided nutritious food for her family. At first, other farmers doubted her new methods. But after seeing her success, many began adopting the same eco-friendly practices. Today, Rozina is a leader and trainer in her community, helping others grow more food through sustainable farming.
